Beans Parrupu sambar

Ingredients: 

Beans                           -  100 gms
Green chillies                -  2 nos.
Red chillies                   -  1 nos
Curry leaves                  -  a few leaves
Tamarind                       - 1 small lemon sized
Thoor dal                       -  3 table spoon
Sambar powder              -  1 table spoon
Ghee                             -  1 table spoon
Mustard seeds               -  1 table spoon
Fenugreek seeds           -  1 tea spoon
Asafoitida                       -  1 pinch
Turmeric powder             -  1 tea spoon
Salt to taste

1.  Pressure cook the thoor dal and mash it.
2.  Soak tamarind in warm water and squeeze and remove the juice and keep it aside.
3.  Clean and cut the beans into 1 inch long pieces.
4.  Take a kadai and add 1 table spoon of ghee.
5.  Add the mustard seed, red chillies and fenugreek seeds.
6.  Once they crackle add the chopped beans, curry leaves and green chillies.
7.  Once they are half cooked add the sambar powder and tamarind juice.
8.  Let it boil for 5 mins.
9.  Now add the cooked thoor dal paste.
10.Allow it to boil for few mins.and remove from stove.
11.Beans sambar ready.
