Lady's finger sambar without dal

Ingredients:


Lady's finger      -  200 gms
Tamarind           -  1 small lemon size
Green chillies     -  2 nos
Red chillies        -  2 nos
Muastard seeds -  1 tea spoon
Black gram dal  -  1 tea spoon
Asafoitida         -  1 pinch
Cooking oil       -  1 table spoon
Curry leaves     -  a few leaves
Salt to taste

1.  Wash and cut lady's fingers into small pieces.
2.  Soak the tamarind in warm water and squeeze and take thick juice.
3.  Heat kadai and add the cooking oil.
4.  Add the mustard seeds, black gram dal and finely chopped red chillies.
5.  Once the dal turns brown add the chopped lady's finger and finely chopped green chillies.
6.  Keep stirring and cook till the vegetable is half done.
7.  Now add the tamarind juice, asafoitida and salt.
8.  Allow it to boil well till the lady's fingers are well done.
9.  Lady's finger sambar without dal is ready.
